Chopper Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Fronds at Popular California Shoreline
A helicopter flying near a well-attended coastal shoreline abruptly commenced twirling out of control, finally losing altitude and crashing into a line of palm groves as beachgoers watched.
Videos shared online capture the chopper commencing to spiral above the shoreline then plunging near the border of the coast, where it ends up lodged amidst palms and a set of stairs close to the shoreline route.
First Aid Update
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five persons were rushed to the hospital involving a pair who were in the chopper and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” following the incident on the weekend.
Three persons on the pavement were injured. Specifics on their condition were still under review.
The reason for the accident was still under investigation.
